What Age Should Kids Begin Lessons?

We’ve taught children as young as 2 years old, but we’ve found that kids who are able to hold a conversation with their teacher will progress the quickest. 

 

Why Take Music Lessons at MSM?

The McNally School of Music is a true private lesson program. No other families, children, or other distractions will interrupt the learning process. We also have a state-of-the-art recording studio for the students to learn how to compose and produce originals and covers.

 

Do I Need a Piano/Keyboard to Take Piano Lessons?

Yes, students will be expected to practice what their teachers ask them to practice each week. If you need recommendations for affordable digital pianos for your home, contact us and we’ll help you out!

 

Do I Need to Be Able To Read Sheet Music?

The McNally School of Music has no sheet music stands in the studio. On stage at your favorite artist’s concert, there is no sheet music.

 

Our program is unique in that we teach the piano by a system known as “The Nashville Number System.” It allows deep understanding of music theory to take place much earlier in a student’s life. And best of all, no sheet music is needed!!!
